How to read a mockup license

1. Find the license or terms URL — not only the marketing page.
2. Search for: commercial, client, redistribute, resell, merch / merchandise, advertising.
3. Note free vs paid tiers. Free exports are often personal-only.
4. Check whether source files may leave your machine.
5. Check device / brand trademark notes separately from the mockup license.

Then compare against MockClear’s five scenarios. If the text does not say, we mark UNCLEAR — you should ask the maker rather than invent a yes.
